Most printmaking techniques involve a series of steps in order to produce an image. Many argue that some printmaking processes are becoming obsolete because of advancements in printing technologies and that older processes are just too labor-intensive. Many traditionalists argue that traditional printmaking cannot be reproduced by modern techniques.
